I have some banty chicks that are about 2 weeks old. One them is still unusually small and I'm wondering if there are bantys that are smaller than the standard size.
I bought a generic banty hen and now that she's grown she has a cinnamon head and neck and a brownish body. She's very smooth. Any ideas on what she might be?
We have some light brahma and salmon faverolle hens that are only 4-5 months old but are starting to lay. Problem is, they lay eggs in their chicken yard rather than their nests. Any ideas?
I bought two Ameracaunas and sexed them at the store. Thought I had to pullets but they both has roosterish tails. One has tufts and one doesn't. Any ideas as the sex?
The days and night are getting cooler here in Oklahoma. My hens all quit laying and are lethargic. They don't want to come out of their coop. Any ideas or is this normal for autumn?
I know that trauma to chickens from seeing predator attacks have been discussed but my hen isn't getting any better. Although she was not injured she watched her chick being killed. It's been 3 weeks and she still won't come out of the chicken coop. Should I bring her in the house?
