We've had three chickens this week die. Seem fine then I find them laying lifeless in the coop or flopping. Everyone of them has been super skinny that I've found like this. What should I give them so it stops happening. They have fresh water and unlimited access to food.
I moved my two month old chickens to the coop in a cage so they could become familiar with my older chickens. Yesterday I found one barely alive and stiff so I thought maybe with the cold it was frozen it's feet were swallon and stiff as a board. I brought it in and tried warming it up but it...
When my grandma passed a couple years ago I ended up with her beloved cockatiel. She has spent the last 4 months laying eggs non stop. How do I make her stop? Isn't this bad for its health? I remove the eggs everytime she lays them. I don't have a male. She is about 6 years old.
We have two chickens who are about a month younger than our originals. We slowly introduced them into the coop but they seem terrified of the bigger chickens and hide anywhere they can. This has been going on for a couple weeks now. Will they eventually get used to the rest of the chickens?
My 6 year old claimed this chicken as his and she ran away at some point yesterday and we haven't been able to find her. Wondering what kind she is so I can replace her with a similar chicken.
I'm finding spots like this in my brooder and my chicken coop should I be concerned? I have 26 chickens so I don't know which it is. They all are acting normal.
What can I do to help these two babies everyone else is twice there size and doing fine these two just sleep the day away. I separated them to see if they weren't getting enough food and water but they still want to sleep. Is this normal? They are 2 and a half weeks old.
We decided to raise chickens two weeks ago. I now have 20 chicks in my laundry room in a brooder. Love the babies so far can't wait to see what's to come! :)
