I found this tiny egg that is about the size of a quarter. I have 2 ducks about 8 weeks old and 3 that are about a year old and they are in the same house. I'm not sure which one It came from. But what does this mean? Could it have come from the younger ducks even thought they are only 8 weeks?
I have 2 khaki cambell ducklings about 4-5 weeks old. I have no idea if they are boys or girls. They look very similar. I heard one make a quacking sound but Im not sure which on it was. Ill post pictures of them.
Does anybody know if these ducklings are male or female?I have 2 khaki cambell ducklings that I got from tractor supply. I think they ate about 4-5 weeks old. The bean on their bill has changed a little, and their beak Is a grey-brown color. Their feet are dark brown and a tan color. I'm not...
When I got my ducklings at TSC they asked me if I wanted girls or boys and I needed 2 female. Apparently if you hold them on your back if they hold. I think legs close to their body its a female and if one or both stick out its a boy. The 2 that I got did keep their legs to their body and the...
We found an old boat on Craigslist for 100 dollars and took everything out of it, buried it and filled it with water for our pond. I've ward of using an old bathtub too.
This is also my first year with my ducks. Unfortunately I only have 1 female and 2 drakes, but i did get 2 more ducklings and think tjey are girls! they will also both try to mate with her at the same time. I think it is normal since my drakes seem to try to compete with each other to see who...
It really depends on the temperature. They still are not fully feathered, so I would say that if it's below 60 degrees at night, thay at least need a heat lamp out in their pen.
Earlier today when I was holding my duckling, I noticed a little black spot on my ducklings back near the tail. It looks like a mole since it is raised, but It also looks like fuzz, like the duckling's fur is growing from it. I'm not too worried about it but does anybody know what this is?
I am having the same problem. I've tried pinning down but he doesnt stop. I think I need to hole him down longer though. Mabe try hoding him down for a longer time.
You should probably get a duckling, so it can imprint on you. The ducks you have ouside are already used to the outdoors, so I wouldn't take her from the rest of the ducks.
I've been having the same problem with my ale rouen for a couple months. He chases me while I'm walking out the duck pen, and he is constantly trying to bite my hands. I've heard that you are supposed to hold them to the ground for a few minutes to teach him who's boss
