Just hatched 17 Bielefelder chicks from my own stock. Was hoping for more females but it looks like I have 6 females and 11 males!! I've really come to like this breed. They are very prolific layers!!

So this is just a random question. :pop Do you like to place your eggs in a egg carton or do you like to just lay them on their side for hatching?? :confused: Do you find one way is better over the other??
