    put the boiled egg in a pint jar add a little cold water put the lid on and give it a shake or two or three. This works very well.

    I tried to use a unused kitty litter box. It didnot work the hens had nothing to do with it. I think the cat sent was still present. I have had more luck with dark colored tote boxes. Just cut a opening for the hen. When you gather the eggs just lift the lid to gather the eggs.

    I have backyard chickens and lots of wondering cats. I have not had a problem yet. maybe babychickens would be a problem. everyone seems to mind their own business.

    does she have feathers on her feet? I have two pullets that look like yours but have no feathers on their legs. I think mine are delewares. Nice calm chickens

    I am not sure: two white with a touch of tan or dirt but she lays a light brown egg so she is not a white legern {sp} two red pullets and two delewares I think. If they lay eggs that is all I am concerned about. Ha

    I live at Portales. I just started a new flock of pullets. I bought them local. I have six. About 2 or 3 to many. They are in my back yard and are very happy. Just my entertainment and a few eggs also.

    Yes I researched the brand don't think I will treat my chicken feed forever.I think less is best if everything is going well.$20.00 not wellspent I think.

    I bought durvet strike 111 dewormer,{Hygromycin B} the package says nothing about not eating the eggs, One little scoop per pound of feed. I dont know how long to continue to put in the laycrumbles.

    my pullets beg for the scratch. I am trying to cut back so they will eat more lay mash. they are just spoiled. It is time for them to lay but have not yet.Hoping to improve on the eating habit. All chicken have different personality They are very interaining.

    I have two delewares and two red pullets? I looked at their combs this morning. The delewares are bright red. I am expecting an egg any day! anticipation!! thank you for replying to my question.

    my pullets are about 24 weeks old. No eggs yet. I guess I made a mistake by feeding them lay mash at about 15 weeks old, Is this the reason they have not started laying?
