I have a flock of about 60 hens and 5 roos, over half are "sick" and it's spreading fast. Will it hurt the few that are not sick yet if I treat them too? I don't have much of a way of sperating them.

Could this be sex related? I have just one sub adult pekin duck who does this as well.

Two have flat combs and one has a raised comb.

They were in with Americanas, black sex links and they thought some type of blue somethings. Could they be lakenvelder chicks?

do you have any ideas what the white one may be? I just got three chicks from Tractor supply that were mixed in with about 30 others, but these are the only three that looked alike. the are yellow chicks and starting to feather out white with some black in the wings.

I recently got three chicks from tractor supply, the lady said they might be Lakenvelders, but they were the only three that looked alike in a tank labled straight run, with sex links, americanas, and some type of blue. They do not have feathered feet and starting to have black and white wings.

It'll be Monday before I can get up to the feed store, and she just laid another egg tonight. She's dug her a small nest hole which she was laying in when we went to check and while we were standing there she laid an egg.

My 2 yearold daughter threw her some high protein dog food while we were making the feed rounds, and she seemed to like it, but I wasn't sure if that would be good or not to give give her some of that to.

Shes been being fine. last night she was doing good. This morning she seemed slightly off balance. She's laid two eggs in the last 4 days, one four days ago, one two days ago. I wormed her last week and about to start the second round dose.

I noticed something different today, I had been worming my female late in the afternoon so I never noticed her mouth and tongue are dark blackish looking, my male that died, his were solid white, everything in his mouth was white. That's made me wonder if there mouths and gums are tail tell...

She will not stand still long enough, but the difference in me weight holding her and not holding her is at 6.5/7. I just have an older stand on scale but plan on getting a better one real soon.

what would tell in a necropsy if it was cocci, my husband did a little investigating, but the smell got the better of my tummy, normally things llike that wouldnt bother me, but it was almost like he had been dead a lot longer then he really had been.
