One of my australorp hens has got a "little" bubble right near her eye but she behaves normally and it doesn't seem to cause her pain. Is it an infection or she just hit her head on something? Or could it be the fault of an insect or a mouse?

Maybe a dumb question but I'm curious to know which diseases (virus or bacterium) can be transferred to humans by eating infected eggs. As I can imagine, our chickens could run across infectious bronchitis, salmonella, staphylococcus infections (and so on..) throughout their lives :oops:
Maybe a dumb question, however Sometimes my chickens lay eggs with slight calcium deposits on their shells and I noticed that these calcium deposits are quite always on an egg end. My doubt is if I can incubate these eggs or is it better not to do it?
