    Brrrrrrrrrr, the temperature just dropped to 4 degrees Fahrenheit! Our chickens are absolutely refuse to come out of their chicken coop! I think they don't want cold feet.

    Right now in Western Michigan, the actual temperature is about 16 degrees Fahrenheit, but with the wind chill, it's about -2 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Oh and, it is bad for the chickens health to not sleep up high because it is bad for them to sleep on their droppings. Their natural instincts also tell them to roost on the high grounds.

    They still can sleep on the shavings but it is better to have a roost.
