Hello CyndiD,
I have no experience with ducks what-so-ever but don’t see why it wouldn’t be a cantidate for duck eggs. You would have to turn them manually unless you’d only be hatching about 4 eggs or so.
@Harmony Fowl
I read a great article where they had done extensive studies regarding egg turning and it’s effects. I wish I could find the article, but it’s not where I thought it was. I like your method, I should try that. Thanks for sharing!

@ASarcastic Hello fellow Manitoban! It’s a bit harder to find Point-of-lay birds than chicks but I have definitely come across some on Kijiji, so try there.
Hello!

Personally, I wouldn’t guess Polish, I think they have the “devil horn” looking combs. I would guess maybe part Icelandic. They can have the little poof on the head like that and they are a small bird.
Pretty Coloured eggs you have.
Have you considered a digital reptile thermometer? They’re pretty cheap and available on amazon or eBay and are very accurate (-/+.5*). I have heard they are supposed to be more accurate than a Mercury thermometer.

Hello, I’m on the fence about which magicfly incubator to purchase, the yellow round (10 egg) one or the transparent oval shaped one(9-13 egg) . Any opinions?
Hello all. I currently do not have any windows in my coop for sunlight so I’m using a “daylight” CFL lightbulb on a timer from 6am to 5pm.
My question is... What can I do so that the chickens will get on their roosts because it goes from light to pitch black. I know you awesome chicken people...
