I've read several articles here and on the internet about show quality birds and breeding birds but don't quite understand the difference. It seems that if a bird is of breeding quality it would also be show quality. Can someone shed some light on the difference?
When my hens started laying regularly, they would occasionally lay a double-yolked egg. I only found that out when the egg was opened, but I've seen several posts from folks who can tell a double-yolked egg without opening it. How can you tell an egg has two yolks without cracking it open?
Would anyone out there be able to help identify what kind of chick this is? She came from an assorted pullet bin at a local feed supply store, and is about 3 & 1/2 weeks old. Rather flighty, and hard to get good photos of.
