I read some posts that say you may be fine as long as it is not already turning red... maybe the comb + redness is what gives away the roo, not just comb development...keep us posted!

Beautiful ducks! We have just gotten our first ducklings this week and are learning as we go...if I had more experience I would take them in a heartbeat, especially being so close! I hope you find a wonderful home for them!

Yes they did great! The first several nights they laid together in a big pile and now they are actually all using their roost bars, looking less like little babies!! I did stick a Blink camera out in their coop to check in because I was so worried for them! They have an entire second roost bar...

Just an update.....not much difference with the comb color...this was the one I wondered about because it was more developed than the other two at same age.... Interesting enough, one of the other BA's now looks very similar....and actually a little redder in color............ and the third...

Yes! These three pics are all the same chick in question. I am mostly curious because it is so different from the other two BA...we have 4 RIR at same age, same comb development amongst that group...3 marans, same comb development amongst them as well...
