We hatched out 5 turkeys, one still had the yolk sac still attached, it didn't make it..3 are doing great but one keeps flipping over alot and can not get back up..He is eating and drinking even gobbling up the "grow gel"When he walks it almost looks like he has a little limp.:/He seems strong...
I have 13 eggs in the incubator, I stopped turning Thursday...I was expecting the hatch to take place Sunday or Monday...But 2 of the eggs have a small "pip".I can hear them chirping:lol:But, I am NOW confused on the humidity???I read that turkey eggs should be kept at about 70% the last 3 days...
:cool:little chicks congats!!!!I have 15 in the incubator and should stop turning Thursday.. Should have some in about three or four days...Yeah!!! Always, the last few days are the toughest, to me anyways....
My tom was a little rough with the ladies, he ended up "slicing" the underside of her when he slipped .I guess:rolleyes: So to stop this I bought "turkey saddles" from Strombergs they cover their backs and sies to prevent anymore injuries...The girls don't seem to mind them once they got use to...
