Tom tripping over his own feet

I moved the pool that day with him in it. He didn’t seem to mind. After a few hours, I picked him up and moved him out of the pool. I could hear crunching noises in his back. I had already changed his food. He is still in the backyard, eating and drinking. He moves from one spot to another...

Tom tripping over his own feet

Thank you! It’s hot here in Texas. I checked on him earlier and he was relaxing in the pool. I will make a run to the feed store. Do you think it’s his diet?

Tom tripping over his own feet

My Tom is about 5 years old. He’s a bourbon. He can stand but if he takes a step, he starts flapping his wings for balance. His legs and feet look fine. Mechanically, when he does walk, he steps on his own feet and loses his balance. Any ideas on what is going on??? And what to do for him?

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

I wanted to update. I didn’t get all the pus out so it wound up even worse. She seemed awful today. Was thinking about culling. I cried. I told my husband to take her out to tell her friends goodbye before he did it. Then I decided I would try to flush instead of rinse the eye. So I did. With...

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

We put the rooster with the guinea fowl after he did that to 3 hens. Those guineas have shaped him up! He’s nice now. He’s a free ranger. We don’t let him in the coops or runs.

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

It’s not respiratory. We have a rooster that keeps killing chickens. He pecks the eyes out and then tramples them.

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

I cleaned it tonight. I was scared but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I got a HUGE pus plug out. There’s still pus but I wanted to be kind. I put neosporin on it. She is now in the house, eating and drinking. My test came back negative today so I’m free to get what I need. Poor baby. It looks...

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

I can do that. I am not certain the eye is gone. I’m kind of squeamish. I will clean it out tomorrow. What kind of antibiotics? I have some left over antibiotics from a burn I endured a couple months ago. I don’t know much about about tractor supply antibiotics. I’m pretty sure if I ask my vet...

Chicken eye pecked out. What do I do?

It’s been about 2 weeks since it happened. It was covered in white pus but looked ok otherwise. So I thought it could heal on its own. Not so sure now. It’s still covered with white crust and it looks swollen tonight. Any advice? I can’t take it to a vet bc I’m in quarantine right now.

3 month old chicks dying suddenly

It might be coccid. Get some Corid it works fast but you can only give it to them if they haven’t been eating medicated feed. You can look up the dose.

Hen is still alive, eating and drinking. I called the vet yesterday and they said it’s a virus. She can move her legs now and her left wing. We will see what happens next.

    Mareks?

We’ve had chickens for almost 2 years. 8 days ago, noticed a Barred Rock limping. Brought her to the house and put her in a cage. Next day, leg wouldn’t work. Then both legs and wings. She is still eating and drinking. She has definitely lost weight. I tried vitamin B supplement but she only...
