We put the rooster with the guinea fowl after he did that to 3 hens. Those guineas have shaped him up! He’s nice now. He’s a free ranger. We don’t let him in the coops or runs.

There’s no odor.

Here are photos. It was doing good. I didn’t put antibiotic on it bc it was moist and wasn’t swollen. Last night it swole up. Today it’s more swollen.

It’s been about 2 weeks since it happened. It was covered in white pus but looked ok otherwise. So I thought it could heal on its own. Not so sure now. It’s still covered with white crust and it looks swollen tonight. Any advice? I can’t take it to a vet bc I’m in quarantine right now.

It might be coccid. Get some Corid it works fast but you can only give it to them if they haven’t been eating medicated feed. You can look up the dose.

Hen is still alive, eating and drinking. I called the vet yesterday and they said it’s a virus. She can move her legs now and her left wing. We will see what happens next.
