    our Roo sound sick almost like a bark kinda like mucus maybe . he used to crow all day and now not so much. On that note if he has something like the respiratory infection i seen on other threads were can i get meds to make him better? thanks in advance!

    ahhh yes we have a bared rock roo that acts like a dog he will walk in the house eat out of you hand let you hold him. he walks up to you to see if you have food all the time and if you do he jumps up and grabs it so cute but a little scary since hes HUGE!

    isnt that crazy! at the start of the year we had 2 ducks and a lot mor chickens but the neighbor dogs ( red hound like pups) raided our flock twice :( but it was like they all had an understanding with each other about were to go and when to run to the coop. be it the head duck or head roo.

    drake we thought it was a female well after all "her" sister hens were laying we thought maybe she was stunted and then hubby went out this winter and he was viciously raping ALL the chickens every 10 seconds hubby put off the culling for two weeks and in that time the buff was ravaged so bad...

    we just had to cull 3 roos and a duck for this. the duck picked this one buff to go after every ten seconds and her back was a scab it was horrid and the other hens were stressed to the duck was even mounting roos!

    lol pulls off like a sweater, he said hes surprised he didnt have nightmares. These chickens were the first thing (other than fish we catch) that hes killed.; he was not a fan of murder lol

    He just finished the duck and is plucking him now! the roos are all done save for our one nice roo, he just cut the breast and thighs off and put them in salty ice water in the fridge is that even ok? he said he wont ever do again unless he has to lol i guess we will raise a cow and send it off...

    were about an hour and a half from indy, we just don't have anything other than a wood axe and chainsaw and no large buckets like the video we watched said to have to bathe them. I would love to be able to have my hubby do it but we just don't have anything to do it or know how we don't want to...
