So, three weeks ago we set 50 quail eggs in the Brinsea Octo 20. A week into incubation I pulled 7 eggs and 43 were developing. The chicks were due on Monday but decided to come on Sunday. We ended up with 42 perfect little babies (one, the 43th one, died in the egg). Are they cute, or what?

A few months ago we hatched out some bantam cochins with some of them possible being frizzled Today we know for sure, that two out of 9 turned out frizzled and that both are boys. We also had some luck hatching Silkies in the spring. Today, they are all grown up as well.

So apparently the eggs in the incubator worked! We became proud grandparents of 13 chicks over the weekend! They are all Silkies hatched from eggs we got from Heavenly Springs Farm in Greencastle, IN. All strong and healthy!

Two days ago I found the biggest chicken egg I've ever seen. It is the size of a duck egg (we used to have pekin ducks so I've seen thier eggs). We've had some double yolkers before but they were not as big. I'm pretty sure it's bigger then x-large eggs from the store. What you think?
