I know!! They used to get up at 7:00, and that was okay, but Daylight Savings Time messed up their internal clocks!

My BOs did that too.....I took them out of their nest boxes every day(even though they hated me for it) and gave them scratch. Now they aren't broody anymore.

I just went out to see the girls, and one of my SLW was spinning circles...She seemed to either be looking at something on her tail, or in the air... She freaked out when I tried to touch her... Maybe something tried to attack her? Any Ideas? Does some kind of disease make them turn circles?

Two of my chickens have been in the nesting boxes for two days straight! WHY?! I have no roosters, so I don't think that they are broody.... I am afraid that they will get dehydrated or starve..

How do you get pinless peepers on a hen that moves around like a grasshopper?!

I didn't try pinless peepers, but I clipped thier beaks, and that solved the problem for me...

Clip their beaks! Yes, it sounds cruel...I felt awful, but it works! I clipped it until it just BARELY bled. I tried everything before. (Pick-no-more, extra calcium, new toys...ect.) Yes, My chickens are my babies, and I felt bad for her, but she hasn't yanked out a feather since!
