I feel bad. I put my coturnix eggs into lock down days early. I couldn't figure out why I didn't have any hatch, so I double checked the calendar. I was suppose to lock down on Friday not hatch on Friday. Its too late to worry about it now but I sure do feel stupid!
WelcomeGranny368W. I have Australorps too. I live in the middle of town (Butte, MT) and have 8 Australorps, 2 silver laced wyndottes, and 7 barnyard mix babies that my mama hen just hatched.
The only game bird food my local feed store (Murdochs) carries right now is 30% protein. Should I cut it with some chicken feed to lower the protein? They are just shy of 10 weeks and haven't started laying yet.
