    Grass clippings

    I keep grass clipping in the chicken run. It is now 10 X 10 and may grow to 30 X 10 soon. I rake the clippings about once a month and put it new clippings the girls love them. What can i do with old clippings. How long do they need to compost before use? Thanks

    egg shells

    Do you feed your chickens egg shell? The wife and i norally eat 4 eggs a day for breakfast. I have heard that the shells are good for the hens. I troubled about this may make them eat there oun eggs. Let me know what you do.

    Do you close the Coop door every night?

    With the warm weather is it ok to leave to door open at night. I have had my flock since April and still learning. So far I have always shut them in every night.
