    We have 10 Buffs (in brooder) another four or so BO drying off in incubator still, and...uh...I'm not sure how many Easter Eggers. I lost count! I have had to open the incubator to reduce the crowding going on in there, and couldnt resist turning some eggs that were pipping towards the floor!

    Went to bed last night with one Buff Orpington freshly hatched. Woke up this morning to this: It's gettibg crowded in here, Mama! 3 BO and 3 EE have hatched! 40 more eggs to go! One of the EE is an awesome blue grey color, think it came from a green egg. Popping like popcorn!

    I had a close call yesterday, and hoping it did not hurt any of my eggs. When I got home, my incubator thermometer was telling me that it had reached a low of 90 during the day sometime (who knows when). I thought, must have been a short power outage, and didn't think much of it cause it was...

    Do these look like ok air cells for day 15? Chicks. My humidity is being affected more by house humidity than during my first hatch. Its between 16 and 27%. A little lower than first hatch, didnt have as much of a problem keeping it above 20 that time. I only found two that appeared...

    Wow, do I have to worry about the tufted gene killing my EEs in the shell? I don't know much about genetics, but I think EE are related to Araucanas right?

    Hello! I have 47 eggs in my homemade bator, started with 49. On Day 7, 2 proved to be not developing, but the rest fertile and growing! It is now day 10. Buff Orpingtons and Easter Eggers, some pure, some mixed. March 18th is hatch day! Second hatch in this bator, first one was 100% (9 eggs). So...
