Ameraucanas are pure bred, and Easter Eggers are either a mix of Ameraucana and another breed, or a mix of Araucana and another breed. Typically, of you order from a hatchery, birds marketed as Ameraucana, Americana, or various misspellings are actually Easter Eggers.

Typically pastel blue if they're pure Ameraucana. If not, the eggs can be green or olive, in that case they're actually Easter Eggers, which are great layers and pets but cannot be shown and don't breed true.
Hi! I'm new to byc and would love to join this thread. Right now I only have two EE's but I just love Ameraucanas and plan to get some when I have the space :) I also have 2 BOs and 1 BR. Attached are some pics of my EE pullet Kristie at about 8 months. Sadly , she lays brown eggs. I love her...
