HI all! Is there anything you can do about a floppy comb? It isn't a desirable trait, right? Do you just cull the birds with it or ?? It seems I have a few cockerels with floppy comb which is upsetting considering how much I paid for them.
No, I didn't track the flock I have now because they were already laying when i got them..they were supposed to be around 8 months old though...when their chicks start laying i will be sure to see when they start..I am really impressed that they have been laying the whole winter...I have Gold...
Oh no! I didn't know that. I just saw the sight & thought it was a wonderful for ppl that live in the city. Plus, the video they had on their site of a rooster crowing was pretty funny....lol
Have you heard of "Rooster collars"? I hadn't either until i came across their website. It's a collar you put on your roos to keep them from crowing. Maybe you could get one if you ever get another roo. Just a thought. :) I live in the country so i don't have to worry about my roos bothering...
