    They are not water fowl, they can't take off from the water like a duck or goose. If they don't have a way to climb out their feathers will become water logged, lose their buoyancy and they will drown. Those pullets had people watching them.

    If they allow themselves to dry they'll be alright. Mine can come in soaked and they dry fairly quickly.

    My chickens would have died a while ago if a little rain could hurt them. I leave the option for them to decide to go in the rain or not. They like to go out in light rain and come in when the rain gets heavy. Bugs and other crawlies don't do well in the rain around here.
