I see 3 hens and 1 rooster in the lower photo. I hope to someday have GLWs again... My last where from a hatchery and even then I thought the gold and black lacing was pretty!! Someday I want Breeder/show GLWs
Good luck finding that out!! All my wyandottes have laid brown eggs and sometimes with the little dark spots. I have had Blue laced red and Sliver laced and golden laced Wyandottes. I also had Colombian wyandottes years ago. Maybe post a photo of the egg in question :)
That is most likely a BLRW it is going to have poor to no lacing. I have hatched out 2 like that in my years of hatching BLRW and as soon as I figure out which parent is throwing that look I cull it. Remember just because you have Show quality/breeder birds doesn't mean they wont throw a ugly...
Wyandottes are very winter hardy! In Florida you will not have to worry about them getting cold. My wyandottes do really good here in northern Idaho and we have very cold winters and lots if snow. I wouldn't worry about them at all if I were you.

My fav is the last on of the old hen... where are your lines originally from?
Nice birds!
Yes I'm already BLRW/SLW glutton
Thank you - I'm based in Norway (Europe) so my chickens were bought from lines that have been in Denmark, Sweden and Norway for quite a long time I'm not sure...
I love this thread! I have BLRWs and SLWs. I can't wait to get some Golden Laced Wyandottes! I'm going to get them from Duane Urch.
Just gotta get DH to build me another coop!
