I made a shirt from a 1940 vintage pattern - first ever! I’m trying to make my own clothes, first because I love vintage and second because my favorite clothes aren’t made anymore :(.

Postcards: I believe I have nearly 100 (though most are new ones I picked up on my travels). Books: Catholic school readers from the ‘50’s (this is almost all I read growing up - and loved them), music books, and of course histories. Photographs: Mostly of my family but I love finding others...

I keep anything that has any sort of historical value. I feel like I have a connection to the past that way (I love American history and the people who made up our country).

Wow! It’s a good thing I don’t live in an area like that - I’d have boxes and boxes of “valuable rubbish” (in addition to those I already have) :).
