Pics
Not the best pic's. Some with light and some not. I have not photographed any jewelry type items in a long time, let alone with this camera. In the last photos there is a bracelet rosary I got along with the rosary. Stones are cold to the cheek and all are cut differently. All hardware pieces are silver, some beads missing. Needs a professional cleaning etc.. The cross is dated, I am going to say 1954, but it could be 1854, as it does not reflect 19's or 18's.

They’re beautiful! May I ask where you got them?

I agree, these are beautiful! what a special find. And the hopper chicken is adorable 🥰

Found the reminents of an old rubber toy car in our alley today. And a marble yesterday. I find random pieces of old looking glass everywhere on our property. I think we may be on an old dump site from the 1930s or 1940s. Probably do a little digging tomorrow and see what else I can find!

Wow! It’s a good thing I don’t live in an area like that - I’d have boxes and boxes of “valuable rubbish” (in addition to those I already have) :).

I keep anything that has any sort of historical value. I feel like I have a connection to the past that way (I love American history and the people who made up our country).
That’s fair! There is something so special about past times and the people who paved the way for us. What sorts of things are your favorite to collect?

Postcards: I believe I have nearly 100 (though most are new ones I picked up on my travels).
Books: Catholic school readers from the ‘50’s (this is almost all I read growing up - and loved them), music books, and of course histories.
Photographs: Mostly of my family but I love finding others as well.
I’m sure there’s other categories but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head :).

Book of organ music circa 1870
Elementary history book copyright 1898
High school religion textbook copyright 1946

Oh my goodness how neat! You have quite the collection of postcards :) the organ music is old!! Love the old books, too. Everything is in such good condition. You were not kidding about loving historical things and American history. Thanks for sharing, I just love seeing what others are into. Everyone has something and it’s so great to see and learn about different things.
