So I've had 12 hatch so far. The other 9 eggs are showing no signs of doing anything. Has anyone had anything happen at this point in incubation? Should I give up on these eggs?
Well I'm up to 10 hatched so far this morning. I have 2 almost hatched and another making good progress on its external pip. That will take me to13 so we will see what the other 8 do.
Well no pips yet but I have seen a few eggs rocking. I'm telling you it is driving me absolutely crazy not to be able to see what is going on in there.
Ok so I officially have 8 cream legbars, 9 wheaten AMs, 4 orphingtons, and 1 copper maran still looking great. I only know that because I can't leave my hands off the darn eggs. I'm totally addicted to candling them although I have held off the withdrawal symptoms by doing it just once a day...
Ok I just want to make sure I understand. I'm doing the dry hatch method. My humidity has been steady at 33% throughout the incubation. At day 18 I know I'm supposed to raise the humidity by adding water. How high should the humidity be? Thank you for your advice.
Well I candled today for my day ten since I was out of town yesterday and it looks like I'm down to 22 viable, dancing chicks. Not great but not horrible out of 36 set. We shall see how hatch day goes. 8 days till lock down
