If anyone else would like some help trying to decode what they've found, I really enjoy looking into antiques and building my knowledge of them. Please @ me in your post if I can be of any help researching and digging! :)
@Anime2lover - Yes I am sure the sight of them coming with a big saw was not impressive! Oh goodness! But maybe you can take a nice Fall walk when the brush and bugs die down and when some of that scrub clears maybe you can see things better. I know just in this family span, my husband's grandpa...
@Anime2lover - Your saw is most likely from the early 1900s, probably around 1911 judging by the medallion with their company name and the keystone shape in the middle. How cool is that! That saw is over a hundred years old likely. They have just found a treasure. Makes me wonder how many trees...
@Artichoke Lover - It is so nice to see someone who appreciates old books as well! I have a knack for anything 1940s and older primarily, and in particular 100+ years old. I'll have to do some sorting but I believe my oldest currently is 1890s? Yet, I have not actually read any of them through...

Posted three books above, most are put up right now. Some books are not in great shape but I love them just because they're beautiful and deserve to be treasured for another 100 years or more.
I set aside some of those pieces I picked that were brand new and have them to use. I am very picky about the patterns of Corelle I like, and this set is called "Spring Blossom" Green. Often times the patterns were compatible with a set of Pyrex (different pattern name but pattern is similar) -...
I love finding hidden gems of vintage dishware, in particular Corelle brand. I had the opportunity to flip some that were brand new in the box from the 60s and 70s.
My big passion is older books, particularly 1940s and older. I have a antique mall I like to visit and I often score these books...
