All done hatching now. And it looks like 17 are happy and healthy. Well 16, I have one that has spraddle leg. But am working on fixing that. Pictures soon.

First picture after she kicked off the shell, second is this morning, she made it through the night. And another hatched this morning. I think I'm up to 19 or 29 chicks now.

set the egg on a wet towel, put a damp paper towel over the top. Let it get moist. It was like 5 minutes. Then slowly pick the shell off as you spray warm water on the egg and membrane to soften it. Then once baby is loose enough and can kick off the shell. Return to incubator and let them kick...

update: baby chick has hatched. A friend helped me along and my husband helped me. She is up and moving hopefully she keeps going.

I did this morning t ok remove all the chicks but a couple. But I had one die yesterday before I even opened it for the same reason. But I have to say I have this great friend who tested me some advice and we saved the baby!!! I can't believe it.

Help! I have had three die when they were almost done zipping out and they get dried up and stop. Got one still alive in the same situation. Humidity at 70 75 and temp at 99.5. How can I help this one get out

do ha ve a cream legbar but those eggs were clear. The blue eggs are my EE. I some BCM, Buff Orpington, Welsummer, that one hatched this morning. Red star, SLW, and 3 white leghorn in there. I have had two EE, one BO, one Welsummer and two BCM, hatch. I had a barred rock pip but didn't make it...

Woke up to these three. One had just kicked off the shell. Two more pipped.

Make that 3 pips and one zip now.

Day 20 and I have three pips and one of them is zipping. Lots of chirps and wiggled. Pretty excited for my first hatch.

I warmed them up ,some are still moving.You want to know what is sad I was crying as I candled. Crying over stupid eggs. I really had my heart set on these and had saved a little out of each paycheck to get them.I have money saved but its for a new fridge as the other one is 20 years old and...

I have a lot of activity and am so glad I'm hom e. this weekend. This has been a great experience for me. But I would have been pleasantly surprised with an overnight or come home to hatch. I don't know I still might. It has just begun. :)

Omgoodness. I have wiggling eggs and have a heard a few cheeps. This is only day nineteen, but I haven't got anything done because I have been watching the bator. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve!!!! I hope to have a successful hatch all the way through.
