I think I get just as confused as anyone else when it comes to being able to identify Silver Pied from Loud Pied. First question, Is it true that a Loud Pied will have some 'bright' color and the Silver Pied has only 'muted' color? Or can a Silver Pied also have some bright spots of color...

I finally got some pics of him displaying. I see two WE feathers, one at nine o'clock and one just right of center. And then there are all these white dots in these feathers at the top of the train. How many eyes with white in them does it take to qualify as WE?

Yes. Zero White Eyes on the train. If it happens that way sometimes I am ok, if it is unheard of I am mistaken and need to change my pairings for him. I bought him three hens because he had WE, now I don't see any.

I have an IB Pied who I am sure that it had White Eyes last year, not a lot, bus a dozen or more. His train is about 2/3 grown and I don't see any this year. Is it possible to reverse and not get any a year after having some?
