I was totally ignorant of the dangers Bluey. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Good
point too about kids getting their hands on them.
Miss_jayne what is a lymph drain???

It's scary when the kids get stung. You just don't know if they are going to have an allergic
reaction and they can't communicate it very well. I believe Epipens should be sold over
the counter.
You guys came up with some good material here. I gotta get stung and
post about it more often.
Bren I think you win the prize for the best reaction followed by MooseHill
for her poetic rendition of a bee attack.

Whichever it was, were you just venting?
Intentionally? Viciously?
Of course I was just venting. I knew a bunch of my friends here would
enjoy the whole thing. Just look at all the brilliant responses to my overdramatic
original post.

A little Japanese girl being chased by Godzilla, or a babysitter in skimpy underwear being chased by Freddy?
Hmmm, don't really know. Gotta go with the Japanese girl.
Miss_Jayne, that's interesting. Sorry you got stung so badly. What is a
lymph drain?

Actually Bees and Wasps don't bother me much. You leave them alone and they
will leave you alone. Paper Wasps are actually quite friendly. It's those evil
YellowSilkieJackets that are nasty.

Yup, I just caught one in my house and it's a variety of YellowJacket, a wasp.
Most Yellows we get around here live in the ground, not a softball sized paper
nest.

Anyways, the ice in the glass works much better than the ice on the hand.
There is no stinger, just a tiny red mark surrounded...
Yup, that's right. It was dusk. I was moving some fence posts I plan
to use tommorow for my garden when a bee the size of a silkie
stung me on my left hand, right above my thumb. It seems I had stumbled
accross a nest of what I believe were wasps. They swarmed and I ran.
I was only in shorts...
