That's a lot of boys! The place that Metzer bought their breeding call duck stock from is where I bought 16 calls from last Spring. One passed and out of the 15, I got 4 boys and 11 girls. I had a lot of females last year on the farm from different species.

Oh no... one more thing I just noticed when looking back at your sweet pictures. I would provide the calls with a more protected water dish. If they get in and get stuck they might not be able to get out. It does happen sadly. Just a suggestion. I know you've waited for these precious babies.

You will definitely need to keep them separate since the others are large ducks and two weeks older at least. The call ducklings are very fragile and will get picked on. If you raise them close for a while so they can see but not touch your will be able to have them live together eventually...

So funny! I also had a Rooster named Angel and he was a lap rooster. All 4 of my roosters have been lap roosters. If I sit in the chicken pen they all come running over to hop on my leg for under wing scratches and rubs. Spoiled boys!

I always call my local post office and tell them I'm expecting a shipment of live birds and give them the tracking number and my phone number. I do that a day before they are expected to arrive or the day of and they've always happily called me to come pick them up. You would think the Post...

To pick them up there. When birds are shipped, most recommend to call ahead to the post office and then they call you to come pick them up instead of sending them out on the mail truck to your house.
