Wow Jill, what a nightmare!
When you hit the bottom, you'll bounce back - I'm pretty sure of that!
We've had enough rain now for a while, but I'm sure there will be more soon, its neverending ..... we're going to float away!
Welcome Scarlet54 - you guys had a good storm a couple of...
Jill what the heck happened with the hubby? Sounds like he's being a jerk. !!!
II had to help a chickie out yesterday, the shell got totally crushed for some reason, and I could hear it peeping its little heart out - I helped it just a little at a time, I think it was a forced early hatch...
Hey guys - just checking in. (Hi Jill, long time no hear!!)
All enjoying the start of summer (except the rain)?
Lots of flooding going on, none by us thank goodness...
Not much has changed in our coop, we've lost a few chickens, gained a couple. Have two baby ducks waddling around...
Hi Jenny!
We're freezing cold this morning, it was -18 when I woke up, thank goodness there is almost no wind but we were supposed to have some (something to be very thankful for)
I'm SO looking forward to next week, our temp on Tuesday is supposed to get up to 40
I hope we're over the worst...
We were supposed to get 3-4 inches yesterday but didn't get a drop. Its coming down this morning instead, its actually so pretty, the snow is in big clumps comeing down, and there is no wind so its just falling softly!
I'm always happy when there is no wind, but it will be back soon I'm sure...

Merry Christmas all, if you plan to go out today, please tie bricks to your feet so you don't blow away in the blizzard!
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr stay warm!
If anyone is looking for another horse, let me know (PM me)! I'm going to re-home my girlie.
There are a couple of musts! when I find her a new home. First off she must go with her Goat, he's her best friend, a Boer weather, both of them love each other and don't even like being on the other...
Wow Jill I have no clue, it sounds strange and too much for one dog to do...
When we had two dogs attack, one carried off one chicken, and the other hung around to "play" for a while, one being played with got ripped up and we had to put her down, the one that got carried off got away and we...

I'd love to go to the show, but thats such a long drive for us, probably be around 5-6 hours driving... (takes us 5 hours to get to Omaha)
Sorry no eggs here.... you need to find out why the eggs are disapearing, someone eating them? thats not good.
Good luck with the egg hunt, I've had a broody duck since the beginning of summer it seems, she just will not quit!

A couple of each sounds perfect! Orps are perfect for Nebraska, with their big fluffy butt selves, they handle the cold really well. (I have two)
I have two leghorns or the Ideal 236's (same) and they do prett well for themselves, lay like machines. I don't have americana's but I...
