I know that you know the real story, but you know how people on line don't always get it right when they read something. I will let you know how the Ko meet goes this weekend. It should be a slam dunk. They have 127 Ko's entered and most will be shown by real breeders. Carl had best AOSB at...

It will be 1/25. They had over 100 entered early on, so there should be a lot more there. I'm off to the APA show in Springfield....you going? I think Suzann Chung will be there checking out the Orientals. Walt

The Jake Lail crele OEGB shown is a washed out poor example of the crele color, so it is not much use as an example of crele. It is the picture quality......Jake has great colored birds. The color on your birds in not crele as you stated. How are you going to "bother" the SOP? Walt

They make all this noise publically, but they never contacted the APA to ask what it takes to change something. It would be amusing if the breeds were not hurt so badly by these 2-3 clubs for the same breed situations. It's all about ego, making a mark and trying to be important...they never...

I knew you were kidding. I don't use smiley faces or any of the other imocons either and seems like if you don't do it here, whatever you say is considered serious. Anyone who reads your posts would know that if you use "roo" you are not being serious.....but then...............this is a...

Yeah.....well this guy is killing 25lb mean nasty geese.......Including one Egyptian male, but I don't think he would bother the Egyptians again. I think the Egyptian got some licks in and the coon didn't eat him and left. He just died from the wounds. One of my Egyptians put a foxes eye out...

Maybe you have been reading too many posts on BYC. Real breeders make real strong birds.....and usually don't medicate. There is no reason that any breed can't be strong if they are bred correctly. If these heritage birds don't perform they will die out. So IMO this is not a donkey/racehorse...

    Old and Rare Breeds

No one has ever tried to get the blacks or splash into the SOP. It is not easy to get birds into the SOP and you could understand why, but if you have the money and the inclination, it could be done. It tells what is necessary in the SOP itself. Splash had been a controversial variety for...

The Standard describes the results of good breeding.....different folks arrive at the best bird they can in various ways. Double mating is a way to do it and it is generally for color only. The SOP has some difficult to attain goals, but does not ask for anything that is impossible. That would...
