    It could be genetic or from problems with incubation. Sorry I really can't be much help.

    I think the problem is that they are seasonal layers and most people who have them hatch the eggs for themselves. That's what I'm doing right now. If I have any extra later in the Spring, I'll let you know.

    I would like to see those, too. Do you want Moderns just for pets? If so, Ideal Hatchery is selling them right now. It really is hard to find any hatching eggs.

    Is he an OEGB or a Modern? Moderns should have the whole comb removed.

    I'm pretty sure you cannot ship eggs overseas. If I were you, I would be looking for some Moderns there. English Moderns are awesome!

    Have you checked out the Modern Game Bantam Club online? (Yes, I know you don't want bantams, but some of the breeders listed there have large ones, too.) Also, there are a couple Modern Game Facebook pages where I've seen that some folks have the large ones. They are very hard to find, though...

    Go to the Modern Game Club website. They have a list of breeders there. Your best bet might be to find some for sale at a show.

    Cute Moderns! There are several Modern threads on here, but we can't seem to keep one going very long. I'm going to get some pics of my "teenage" moderns today and I'll try to post later. ETA: pics
