    My girls have gotten So big! Question; have any of you gotten wishes from Metzer Farms? If so have your ducks feet turned dark? Mine are about 18 weeks and there feet are still orange...

    Douse the color of the Welsh ducks bill mean anything ( when they are older) I think I have three silver fazed ducks. Except one has a orange bill and the other two have dark bills. What do you think?

    I wouldn't drive that far eather. I live my Cayuga ducklings. They are super calm and friendly. And they are always trying to forage. I am actually sad I only got two Cayuga ducklings. They are SO sweet Plus you get black/gray/green eggs!

    You could try Ancona ducks. They are good layers, good foragers, and get to be around 6-8 lb.

    I think that is a great question. I have no idea because my ducks are two weeks old and I got them for laying. However I am interested in the answer because sometime later especially if I decide to breed my Welsh I will want to eat my excess boys.
