I have followed this post for quite a while and have not checked for a long time but when I looked for it online from a local store their website indiacated it was restricted to the north eastern seaboard if memory serves correct. I know it was a far way from Indiana.
Try a plastic/rubber type of large trash can that seals good or a metal one that has a good sealing lid without rust. that would be my first two choices because they would be good to use for feed once their empty and other simmilar uses if not they could be used as replacement trash cans, face...
Vinnie I am in the same boat right now I am here for information and fun I can't have chickens where I live (yet I am trying to change that) but look up chicken math on these forums I see how it might be a problem.....
I have friends with horses they use straw because it also cushions the stress of standing on a hard solid surface. I was told the horses body is not made to stand for hours on concrete floors it does damage to their muscular structure (along with tendons, ligaments etc. etc. etc....).
