Moved the eggs from the one hen who hatched the five to another hen and she hatched another one. Black. Moved it to the first hen and hope all goes well even though it's two day behind. She seems to have taken it.
Found a broken egg under the second hen. Washed the remaining eggs but tossed...
Baby chicks can get through too. I wish I could afford to cover the lower section of my runs with hardware cloth.
Five EE's hatched out yesterday. Two lav and three black.
Lavender Festival coming up in July.
Oh and if you've not been, there is a good place to eat, called "Pumpkin Hill" in Aurora. We then like to walk through McKenzie Childs and wish we had money to afford it. They have a beautiful gate I'd like but at $1,000 it's out of my range by about...
Well I candled and pulled a lot of eggs out of the side coop. They were no good. Don't know why and I suspect there are a few more. I may just pull them all and say to heck with it. These stupid hens. I have no idea why there not doing good. They are fertile. At least some of them have to be...

Glass, dropped them off to me and I can not say how grateful I am to both of you. I missed everyone but was there in spirit. I have no doubt Tab and Travis were great hosts.
all around.
I still have that rooster. Mr. Mean Gene. I am sorry he's not going. He is a nice big guy. It's a shame he's mean.
I traded away a bunch of young ones for hay. Kept a B. Maran roo, a Del roo and a B. Maran pullet. She's not coming to the picnic she's picking up a milk goat in Skaneateles...
