We are having to have one of our ducks put down today :( a big stone I put over a hole in the garden had been removed (maybe by one of my sons) and duck had got through (some how) when we found her a few hours later she had blood around her neck, we cleaned her up and kept her indoors for four...
I weren't sure if they would alright to eat if she's started sitting in them over night, I'm assuming she's on it over night, when j go let them out in the morning she is always sitting on the nest.
Aw thanks for asking! Will be interesting to find out! We have left her with two eggs now and took the rest out, if she has been sitting on the eggs over night for a few night and we take them out, are they still okay to eat or not?!
Thankyou for tagging people! And thankyou for all your help :) could be possible i guess! I left the ducks and gate open all night last night but thankfully they stayed in garden! I haven't seen anything! But ill try and have a look, it's normally when i turn the hose on to fill there tub thing...

Hmm okay. Should be easy enough to find a drake. I may leave it for a little bit so I can sort stuff out then, yeah I'd rather let them hatch it as it will save me some time and that and they can be a family rather than having to introduce them.
Not sure if they are known for being broody haha! Dammit I'll have to look for a drake! We will just cherish the eggs for now, j thought about getting an incubator but then it's the care after I'm not sure we would have the time. I'd have to keep them under a light and warn wouldn't I? I...
Oh dam I can't think that that is the male then! I will try and get a picture today! As soon as I turn the water on in there little pool they start doing the deed. They don't do it anywhere else lol
