They will have BO a lot. On Feb 28th in Kiowa they have blue silkie and buff black tailed japanese. I saw brahmas a week or so before that and the same week in Elizabeth. They have silver duck wings on march 7th.
They have a lot of the breeds I ordered for this spring but my problem is they...
March? Wow. Our 4H gave us until May. They had to be 120 old by the time they were in fair.
I won't have any of those breeds. Where do you live? Elizabeth country corner usually has the japanese, silkies, brahmas, and orpingtons.
As I typed this I just got their email that they posted their...
Welcome! I'm sure your girls love their setup. Come over to the CO thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/newestpost/68894 to chat more. We try to keep this thread just eggs.
For those with extra roosters, just found this ad on craigslist... http://cosprings.craigslist.org/grd/4538191159.html on the bottom it says they re-home unwanted roosters. Doesn't say they won't eat them, but it's an option for those with 1 or 2 roosters they don't want to process themselves.
I agree, sounds like you can integrate them. For my dogs (the 2 older ones that are well integrated into the hierarchy and know I'm alpha) I sat with them while the chickens were in the yard. Every time my dog even looked at a chicken I would tell her no. If she didn't stop looking I flicked her...
I'm with you Pozees, it's hard to pass up such an offer of rare breeds! We have a polish and love her. She's not the friendliest but she's not flighty either. She's fun to watch. I would love a Tolbunt Polish but I've got all the roos I can handle.
I'm sorry, I'm going to have to close this classified in order to post another. I do not have the ranking to have more than one open at a time. If anyone else wants to open it, that would be great! There seems to be a lot of interest in it.
Count me in! We started thinking we'd have 4 because that's what our city allowed at that time (and we had neighbors that reported our dogs all the time for no reason, so we knew we'd probably get reported for the chickens). We moved to a new city that allows 6 and we have much better neighbors...
No, no fee. Just get there at the start and set yourself up. It's a very small parking lot (8 spots maybe?) that the sellers set up in so it gets pretty crowded. Parking and finding a spot to set up can be a challenge. It's good to find a friend to do it with to share a space and have someone to...
We are there nearly every month starting in May but I haven't seen any hatching eggs there. It's a great place to meet to conduct business though!
We will be there this month with some chicks to sell.
I find it very difficult to find local eggs/chicks on this forum so I'm starting this thread for everyone in Colorado to post what they have so local buyers can find it easier. This will work similar to the Crazy Auction BIN thread. Sellers post your ad, buyers quote the ad you want to buy and...
