When to butcher dual purpose/ egg laying breed cockerels?

I have several too many partridge barnvelder roos and red sussex roos. Does anybody know when the ideal age is to butcher these? Most of the info I can find is on meat birds particularly, and I don't want to have them processed too young and not get any meat off of them or wait too long either. Thanks in advance for the advice.
 
You're right. Dual purpose birds grow at a completely different rate than the meatie crosses. I think 5-6 months is typical for dual purpose roosters
 
16-20 weeks is the best window I've found. Before that there's not much meat, after that you're not getting much gain for the feed you're pouring into them.
