I've googled as many breeds as I could think of and am wondering if she is an Amber link? Does any one know for sure.

Looks to be a Wyandotte, Im thinking male due to the red wing bows, maybe a Splash, or some variation of Blue Laced Red.

Whats the age?

Hi, I have eight Amberlinks and this one doesn't look like them at all. Not sure what she looks like but not Amberlink.

We were told just over a year old.

Not yet. We just got her yesterday.
Do you have a picture showing her beside something for size reference? Did the previous owners give you any info on her at all?

Im not sure why but the chicken reminds me of a young Wyandotte male maybe 11-14weeks old.

I am not all too familiar with Wyandottes though so its just my thought.

Thank you MariskaKilian. Was just going by pictures I saw on the net and some looked like her. The place we got her from is closed today otherwise I would call them. Could the stress from moving her to a new place stop her from laying? I have a picture of her next to our 18 month Australorp and they are ruffly the same size. Thank you all for your help and input.

I bought my Amberlinks from the Egg farm. They were in those horrible cages. Three hens in a cage that is as small as a picnic basket. They had over 60 000 chickens in there and they all looked like mine, mostly white and just a few of them had the brown spots here and there. From the shock of suddenly being able to stand up right and being able to walk they stopped laying eggs. It was not nice to see, when they walked, they lifted their feet up high and their nails were long. They were standing on wire from the day they were born. I have them now for about six months and I think they started laying again. I had them in a separate camp for eggs but when they stopped laying I just put them with the rest of the flock. Now all my hens are starting to go broody and they all lay mixed in breeding boxes so I'm not sure if the amberlinks are also laying. I saw them being mated by the roosters but I didn't catch them yet laying eggs so I'm not sure. Then I also heard of chickens moving and then from that shock they will lay more eggs for about two weeks so I guess it depends on the chicken.
