Hey everyone, I was wondering if you could spare a moment and look at my 5 week old Peachick and tell me what gender you think it is. It is an Indian blue. Thanks!
 
I have been working on trying to learn how to sex them myself... I currently have 6 Peachicks... Gonna watch this thread to see what the experts say but my novice guess is male due to the barring ??? And the hint of blue in its crest ??? Let's see what others say....

I was curious if you knew how old the peachicks had to be in order to sex them by the barring on their wings? 1 week, 2, 3, 4...? Thanks!!!
 
I've heard many different theories on how to sex them and I've heard different ages also. I know one of the ways is to watch their wings to see if the barring starts to fade. If it fades it is supposed to be a peahen, if it does not it is supposed to be a peacock. The source said you could use this method starting at 6 weeks old.
