I have a one year old Barred Plymouth Rock and a 1 year old Black Jersey Giant. They have been consistently laying 5- 6 eggs each per week over the last year.

In late May we introduced 2 Red Sex link pullets to the mix (followed the guidance on this site for that successfully) and in late June the new girls started laying...they've only missed one day in the last three weeks. For the first three weeks of July all four birds were laying and the Barred Plymouth was right on schedule of 5-6 per week. We've now gone about 8 days with no egg from her. All are eating the same Duford Layers Pellet/Crumble mix and all have full day access to the back yard and free range from about 6:30am to 8:00pm.
There is plenty of water, in three spots and I've seen no indications of a bound egg, parasites or worms, and by all appearances she seems normal. I have tried putting calcium out in the form of crushed oyster shells but she has zero interest...others girls (Red Sex links) just wolf it down and out it comes later in the day. For that reason I've pulled it from the back yard.

Is it too early for her to be molting? I'm getting ready to add some salt to their water and am wondering what else I should consider? Appreciate any and all advice.

She is probably just taking a break. Lots of hens do that. And sometimes they molt early. Are there feathers laying around? If so, she is probably molting. (Here's a link on that https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/information-on-molting-chickens)

If she shows no interest in the calcium but yet is eating and drinking and otherwise acting normal, she is taking a break.

Thank you both, the link on molting was very helpful. Based on the number of feathers we've seen just in the last 24 hours she is likely molting a little early. As for the salt, it was in a thread I saw here earlier however I'm going to shy away from that one for now. Again thank you both for your suggestions.
