Well the rooster is certainly gamefowl, but I doubt you chick is. He looks like a plain old Silved Laced Polish to me, which is an ornamental breed, not a cockfighting breed.

I know this thread is 2 years ago, but I have experience for over 10 years of raising chicks with rooster. I seperated the broody most of the times. When keeping a broody with a young roosters, the answer to that is yes he will kill them. With older roosters, they doesn't seem to care at all. Now that I got a young rooster and one of my broody hen hatched. He don't seem to attack the chicks, but instead he attack me when I feed them, take the hen out to check on other eggs, or count the chicks.
