My 7 week old hen is struggling to walk and making a sneezing noise. I cannot find a vet tonight. Anything I can do? I have 3 others that are fine.

I would bring her inside in a box or crate with food and water. Put some electrolytes in her water, and try to get some into her before she goes to sleep. Do her legs seem weak or lame? Has she been exposed to any other chickens that may have had infectious bronchitis or another respiratory disease in the past? Look for nasal or eye drainage, and listen for any wheezes or rattles in her chest. Has there been dust, mold, or ammonia odors in her coop?

None of the other girls seem sick just poor Lucy. I brought her in...she won't drink anything. I keep trying. Her legs are so weak she can't stand up. She is weezing it seems. I have a call in to the vet hopefully can take her in the morning. I can't find one anywhere that has a vet on that treats chickens. I feel so helpless. I don't see any drainage. The coop is pretty clean...no dust or mold or ammonia.

I think it may have been a scorpion. It is looking like she won't make it. She is pretty young. I'm just trying to make her comfy at this point. Thanks for your help

Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? That can cause lameness, and decreased immunity to common infections. Can you dip her beak into the electrolytes, or feed her with a dropper? If she doesn't make it I would call your state vet for a necropsy to look for Mareks. Coccidiosis can also cause extreme weakness, and inability to walk. Is she having any diarrhea or blood in her poops?
