I think that's because parrots, finches, etc, aren't actually poultry, and that's an all other 'poultry' contest, not an all other birds contest, so I don't think they're allowed. Otherwise, I'd enter a picture of my sun conure

I know pigeons have been entered (I don't know if they will win a page) but if nothing else it is a place to get your birds oohed and ahhed at. I don't really know what the judges would pass, I just know I was involved in the initial conversation of would I buy a duck calendar so when they decided to do this I was PM'd otherwise I wouldn't have known about it because I don't go check out the contest pages normally (maybe I will in the future). From the time of inception, it went from a duck calendar to an "other poultry calendar" and I don't know that the poultry was meant to be a hard line (if so, the pigeons will be disqualified I guess). So I figured that I hadn't seen anyone from the caged birds/ostrich forums and thought it might be because like me they don't spend too much time outside of their own forum so I took it on myself to post a thread in each. I know they were originally going with Ducks & Geese and maybe 1 or 2 from the "other poultry", but there have been so many wonderful pics that have gotten people excited about going outside their own forums just to look at pictures. Heck I posted a really good picture of a dragon fly and no one booed me off the thread I would say if you meet the resolution and clarity requirements and have a really good picture, post it. Even if it doesn't qualify these are all people that can appreciate a pretty bird.
