Hello. I just exchanged my roos for some hens today. I got this pretty girl. Does anyone know if she is an ameracauna or easter egger? What is her coloring called? Also, if you can blow up the picture you can see her beak. I just noticed it this evening. Its really long and somewhat curling. Is this normal?

That's a lovely little EE you have there. On the beak, can you get a better shot so that we can see how long it is more clearly? It may be that she was previously not in an area where she had access to any sort of surface to maintain it for herself -- if it requires correction that can be easily accomplished with a little filing, but she may be able to do it herself if you provide a good surface or two in her environment now.

I agree both that it is a pretty EE and that some filing should help if she doesn't wear it down on her own soon.

As long as it is not twisting or crossbeak, it shouldn't be a problem as long as it wears down or is filed down.
