Yellows are New Hampshire Reds, not confident on what I was told on the dark ones

Well, the ones with white spots on the back of the head have a barring gene. They could be black sexlinks or legbars, in which case the white head spot chicks are male, and the solid colored head is female.
Where did they come from? I agree the white spot means barring, but those chicks don't look extended black like a barred Rock or cuckoo Marans, they're some other color.

I'm leaning toward them being Cream Legbars.

They came from my local farmers coop. They told me they were barred, but they have a lot of orange on their heads. The one without the spots wing feathers are brown with black spots, and the ones with spots have dark gray wing feathers with light margins. Probably mutts if I was guessing. Guess I'll go with Murray McMurray from now on. My 13 yr old son was just wanting to get into having laying hens, a lesson learned I suppose. Thanks

Ok, now three weeks old, the three dark ones have 1.5" tail feathers, the lighter one has not a stitch of tail. Also, one of the dark ones has developed a pea looking comb, the other two dark ones are straight combs. This is confusing the heck out of me! Any ideas as to why the differences? Thank you all, I have became addicted to this site and these are my first chicks. I have also added 4 we'd to my young flock, so I'm now math maxed for what I want to start with.
