noticed a spot on one of my pullets this morning...is this the beginning of fowl pox or am i just being overly worried? the other 3 girls have no spots on them
It could be a fowl pox lesion, since they look different in every case, but it could be from a peck or other injury. There is no treatment for dry pox unless the eyes are involved, so nothing needs to be done unless you want to paint a little iodine on it to help dry it. It usually last 2-3 weeks and goes away.
