Dedicated Hatcher

the drawers are 1.5" from the back

EDIT: they are about 0.25" from the front glass, the vent holes in the bottom are below the bottom drawer and they still have good air exchange.

Looks really good. Judging by the photos, It hold a lot of eggs. The active humidity control is a nice addition. Sorry if my design input caused you any grief.

i appreciate all your input so no grief here!!! there's right at 150 extra large to jumbo size eggs in it now with a little wiggle room so i'll base my staggered sets off that quantity. gotta get an accurate quail egg count but it should be close to 500, i can fit 250ish in the hatching tray of the 1502, each egg tray holds 124 eggs and i can set 4 trays (two double stacked) per shelf in the newer model (only single stacked in the older), that should work out about perfect i hope!!

How did the hatch go

Hey, sorry for the lack of update. Had a family emergency come up Wednesday morning so I've been making trips back forth out of state but the hatch went great.

I think there were 11 eggs that hadn't pipped as of this morning, two late bloomers had hatched out this morning and one died half out of the shell yesterday afternoon (smothered by other chicks I think). My 4x4 foot brooder looks like a hill of ants with chicks running around everywhere. I'll get more pictures later when I'm back home. This was just when I'd taken the first wave of dried chicks out to save the crowding.

edit. Sorry posted wrong pic!!
